Today is a lucky day for me. I got an Airbus A380-800 model from a coworker who has a past in the flying industry. The model carries the Lufthansa logo.
What an aircraft! I remember when, in 2006 during our car trip around Europe, we visited Toulouse and the Beauzelle village. I came very close to the final assembly facility at Airbus Industrie.
What not many people know is that I could have become an aircraft engineer. That was my first choice when I finished the high school in Cuba. But my mom didn't like the idea and I was convinced to choose radiocommunications instead. She was terrified imagining me as a militar.
